Installation Instructions For
Rear Wrap With Side Bolts
Place both rear quarter panels and rear filler on ground as it will
be installed on vehicle. Line up rear quarter panels against
rear filler so they align properly. Drill a 1/4” hole from
rear filler through rear quarter on top and bottom, repeat for
other side.
Place 2” masking tape on back lower end of bumper for rear quarter
hole placement. Hold rear quarter in mounting position and
trace quarter with felt pen onto masking tape for insert hole
placement. Place end of rear quarter on cardboard and trace
again for template. Cut template out so that an impression of
insert is left in template. With screwdriver, push through
impression for insert hole marking. Place template inside
marking on masking tape and mark for drilling. Drill 3/8”
hole through marking, (large enough so insert head goes through
mounting hole). Place rear quarter in mounting position and
install 1/4 x 20 x 1/2” bolt, small washer, thin large washer, and
thick large washers from back side. Move to rear wheel well,
press in on rear quarter, drill and install 1/2” sheet metal screw
with smallest washer. Please note that rear quarter mounts up
in wheel well only 1/2” to 3/4” from bottom. Repeat on opposite
side.
To install rear filler piece, place filler under bumper and attach
upper and lower 3/4” sheet metal screw, smallest washer, and black
tinnerman nut on opposite side (these holes should already be
drilled from step one in instructions). Once filler is
attached to rear quarter drill through filler tab, (2 holes each
small tab, 3 in center tab), and install 1/4” x 3/4” sheet metal
screw and washer.
NOTE: If exhaust pipe is covered by rear wrap, (sides or
back), you can cut out rear quarters, or filler, or get an
extension so your exhaust pipe will hang lower, (these can be
obtained at any muffler shop). For Monte Carlo SS we suggest
you cut exhaust tips back far enough to install exhaust tip turn
downs. They look good and work great.
