Installation Instructions
for LEX-16-A-EL: El Camino Front Spoiler
We have made the installation of the Front Spoiler as easy as
possible, yet we advise that you read the entire instructions
CAREFULLY. Take your time and use some craftsmanship.
The end results will be worth the effort!
Tools Needed: 7/16” Box/Open-end wrench, Phillips screwdriver, 7 mm
Box/Open-end wrench, Drill and drill bit set
Cut a rectangular opening in the flexible bumper filler which is
bolted to the front fender. The cut should be made 1/16” away from
the steel fender and 3/8” below the body line. The cut should
be 3/8” wide and 1 1/4” long. This cut is for the SS
spoiler front tab to be attached by a bumper filler bolt behind
your cut. This tab will keep the front of your spoiler against the
vehicle. Remove the 7 mm screw behind your cut, but DO NOT throw
these screws away.
Place the center of the front spoiler so it aligns with the three
factory holes in the radiator housing. Drill 1/4” holes the
all three front spoiler center tabs and attach with
1/4 x 20 x 1” hex bolt, washer and lock nut.
At the top front end of the spoiler (where you cut the rectangular
piece out) place the tab inside and reinstall and tighten the 7 mm
screws you removed in step one.
Move to the front of the front wheel well and place spoiler flaps
inside the wheel well. Drill two 1/8” holes through the front
spoiler and into the steel wheel well. Attach with
1/2 “ sheet metal screws and small washers.
