Installation Instructions for
Monte Carlo Nose Conversion
We have made the installation of this product as simple as
possible, yet we advise that you read the entire instructions
CAREFULLY. Take your time and apply some craftsmanship. The
results will be worth the effort!
Tools Needed:
Drill and drill bit set
Phillips screwdriver
7/16” & 10mm wrench and socket set
To install Super Sport Nose, disassemble from packaging and note
assembly. Remove standard header panel. Place radiator shroud
against core support and attach with ¼ x 20 x 1” hex bolts, washers
and lock nuts (photo 1). Note: In some cases, an additional hole
must be drilled to install some upper bracket support. This can be
done by drilling your additional hole through fender (photo 2),
headlight bracket, and fender, to install ¾” sheet metal screw and
#10 flat washer. Remove headlight buckets, bezels, retainer clips,
springs and adjustment screws from old header panel. Reinstall into
SS headlight buckets.
Drill 4 holes in the bottom of your bumper and install
plastic pop rivets through urethane nose tabs and into the bottom
of the bumper. Drill 3 holes in the front bumper to install foam
impact strip (photo 3). Remove the bottom steel bracket from old
plastic header panel and reinstall into the SS nose, (same
placement). Place fiberglass brackets (Jell-Coat or smooth side
against the urethane) to inner tabs. Now you can install the SS
Nose.
To install the side plates, place front tab into the slot in
the back of the fascia, drill and install two ¾” sheet metal screws
with #10 flat washers in the front of the wheel well, each
side.
Place Air Deflector against the bottom of the SS Nose. Mark and
drill the Air Deflector so the holes will match with the bottom of
the SS nose. Install ¼ x 20 x 1” Hex bolts, ¼” washers and 3/8”
washers and lock nuts. Install nose emblem. Plug
in headlight sockets. Adjust headlights and tighten all
attachment points, and your done.
