Installation Instructions for El Camino Tucked Rear Bumper

We have made the installation of this product as easy as possible, yet we advise that you read the entire instructions CAREFULLY. Take your time and apply some craftsmanship. The results will be worth the effort!

Remove taillights from bumper and unscrew pigtail from taillights. Pull pigtail through inner bumper and remove bumper, (4 bolts per bumper shock). If you wish to use inner bumper, remove chrome outer bumper and trim 2 to 3 inches of each outside end, and reinstall inner bumper.

Remove rubber filler under tailgate and both rubber filler sides. Drill holes in top of Tucked Rear Bumper slots and into holes from rubber filler. Place cover over inner bumper as it will be installed and secure with 1 ½ inch sheet metal screws and washers. Through the taillight openings, drill and install ¾ inch sheet metal screw and washer in each lower bottom inner tabs to secure bottom of tucked bumper. Any gaps between body and bumper - refer to “Special Notes and Adjusting the Fit.” (attached)

Pull pigtail back through inner bumper and reinstall into taillights. Hold taillights into mounting position and drill into tabs provided to install taillights. Install taillights and Hit the Bricks!
