Installations for the
Tailgate Wing LEX-15-X-EL
We have made the installation of this rear deck spoiler as easy as
possible, yet we do advise you read the entire instructions
CAREFULLY. Take your time and use some craftsmanship. The end
results will be worth the effort!
We recommend that you install your rear deck spoiler before
painting in case trimming is needed. It is easier to install a
freshly painted part if the holes are already pre-drilled.
Remove both corner moldings by removing two Phillips screws per
molding. Remove tailgate trim by removing four Phillips screws.
Once removed, notice the inner tabs that the sheet metal screws
attach to. These tabs may need to be bent in or out for proper
fitting of the wing.
Place wing center on the tailgate as it will mount and install the
four sheet metal screws. If the back does not fit snuggly tight
against the back of the tailgate, simply remove the wing and bend
the tabs back slightly. If this fails to work, there are two
additional attachment holes that can be used. Simply drill through
the holes and tailgate on the backside of the wing. Attach with a
beveled sheet metal screw on each side. Either way you must Bondo
in the divots in the back side of the wing.
The side pieces are installed in the same manor as the center
except there are two sets of tabs to adjust for a proper fit. For
any other fitting problems with the side pieces, please refer to
Special Notes and Adjusting the Fit.
