Installation Instructions for
LEX-16 Three Piece Front Spoiler.
Tools Needed: Drill and Drill Bit Set Phillips
Screw Driver 7/16” Wrench
We have made the installation of this front spoiler as easy as
possible, yet we advise you read the entire instructions
CAREFULLY. Take your time and use some craftsmanship.
The end results will be worth the effort!
We also recommend that you install your front spoiler before
painting, in case trimming is needed. It is easier to install
freshly painted front spoiler if the holes are already
predrilled.
Place front spoiler on the ground as it would be installed on
vehicle. Position sides with center so that the paintable
side is out. Line up sides with center and drill top
and bottom holes through (A) inner tabs with 1/4” drill bit.
Install two 1/4 x 20 x 3/4” hex bolts with washers and nuts.
Repeat for opposite side and disassemble.
Place black J-Trim in the sun, or heat it up with a hair drier, so
it will be easier to work with. When heated, place
J-Trim on top of spoiler side, (longer side against vehicle).
Push side tightly against fender and push up into J-Trim.
Drill under J-Trim, but through spoiler side and into fender for
attachment. You can use up to 5 sheet metal screws per
side. When J-Trim heats up again it will lay back down and
cover screws.
Align center spoiler with sides and check for alignment between
them. If uneven, take a sanding block with sand paper and
trim as needed. Realign spoilers and reinstall step to one
attachment points.
Start from center spoiler and work out. Place L- Brackets up
against bottom of bumper. Drill and attach with two washers and
sheet metal screws. Be sure that L- Bracket is pulled out
against one of the five center top tabs before drilling into bottom
of bumper. Next, drill through to center spoiler tab and
lower L- Bracket. Attach with 1” machine screw and hex
nut. Silicone all attachment points to prevent
loosening.
